Fertility Q&A - Ovulation Part 2

Dr. Natalie Crawford answers your voicemail questions about ovulation and ovulation induction. If you do not understand how ovulation works, it's hard to know when things are normal and most importantly when they are abnormal. It also hard to know when your periods are normal or abnormal and what treatments work or don't work for you.

Questions answered:

  1. I just did my first round of Letrozole and I typically ovulate around day 15 and got a positive ovulation test around day 9. Is this normal?

  2. What is the purpose of using Letrozole to boost ovulation? Does Letrozole work for luteal phase deficiency? How many cycles should I do?

  3. At my monitoring appointment for medicated IUI, I was told my 25mm follicle was likely too mature. Did I trigger too late?
